"The Adventures of Pureza: Queen of the Riles" Hits P14.4-M in 2 Weeks

The comedy movie “The Adventures of Pureza: Queen of the Riles” has grossed P14.4 million in two weeks. The sexy comedy “Temptation Island,” on the other hand, has raked in P58.74 million in 3 weeks.

For the opening weekend of July 20 to 24, Box Office Mojo reported that “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2″ captured the no. 1 slot in Philippine box-office for the second consecutive week. The final  

Harry Potter movie raked in P69.29 million on that period and now has a running total of P243.45 million.

“Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” meanwhile, maintained its no. 2 position. The Michael Bay film however remains the top grossing film for 2011 so far with a running total of P393.1 million (4 weeks).


Local movie “The Adventures of Pureza: Queen of the Riles” managed to placed 3rd on its second week. Following closely at no. 4 is “Temptation Island.”  Debuting films which placed 5th to 8th respectively are “Prom,” “Blitz,” “The Ward,” and “Bridesmaids.”
