Jerzon Senador hanged puppy to dry and uploaded the photos/pictures on Facebook

After the case of cat murderer Joseph Carlo Candare, Jerzon Senador became another infamous name on social networking sites because of animal cruelty.
Jerzon Senador, a teenager from Calamba, Laguna, was busted for posting on his Facebook account some photos of his puppy dangling from a laundry line. Here are some snaps taken from his Facebook photo album titled “Bagung Ligo si PUPPY”:

Some netizens who came across the Facebook photos became more furious when Senador said that he also washed the puppy in the washing machine and dryer. He later retracted the statement and claimed that it was only a joke.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN News reported that Philippine Animal and Welfare Society, otherwise known as PAWS, is planning to sue Senador for violating the Animal Welfare Act. According to May Felix, PAWS’ human and education specialist, a person convicted of violating the Animal Welfare Act could be punished by imprisonment of not less than six months nor more than two years or a fine of not less than P1,000 or more than P5,000 or both at the discretion of the court.

PAWS’ previous case, the cat killer that I’ve mentioned, was ordered by the court to take care of maltreated or abandoned pets as punishment for killing a cat after he pleaded guilty. I’m not quite sure about the fine but I think it’s P1,000.
