AT 4:00 PM TODAY, TYPHOON “CHEDENG” WAS ESTIMATED BASED ON RADAR, SATELLITE AND SURFACE DATA AT 260 KM NORTH NORTHEAST OF VIRAC, CATANDUANES OR 300 KM EAST OF CASIGURAN, AURORA ( 15.8° N, 125.4 °E ) WITH MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS OF 175 KPH NEAR THE CENTER AND GUSTINESS OF UP TO 210 KPH. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE NORTHWEST AT 19 KPH.
EASTERN SECTION OF LUZON WILL EXPERIENCED RAINS WITH GUSTY WINDS. THE REST OF LUZON AND VISAYAS WILL HAVE CLOUDY SKIES WITH SCATTERED RAINSHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. MINDANAO WILL HAVE MONSOON RAINS.
