Tropical Depression "Egay" Update : June 20, 2011






As per PAGASA, At 4:00 a.m. today, Tropical Depression "EGAY" was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 160 km Northwest of Aparri, Cagayan or 130 km Southwest of Basco, Batanes (19.7°N, 120.8°E) with maximum winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 20 kph.
Forecast:
Extreme Northern Luzon will experience rains with gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. Western Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of the country will be mostly cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Public Storm Warning Signal No. 1 (45-60 kph winds), PAGASA reported, is still in effect in Cagayan, Calayan, Babuyan and Batanes groups of islands, Apayao and Ilocos Norte.
