2011 Top English Teaching Universities in the Philippines






Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released its top 50 best English-teaching universities in the world in its 2011 World University Rankings by Subject.
The University of the Philippines and Ateneo de Manila University ranked 34th and 35th, respectively among the universities around the world that are teaching the English Language and Literature. De La Salle University (DLSU) landed in the 50-100 bracket while University of Santo Tomas (UST) is in the 101-150 bracket. The rankings were based on indicators like academic peer review, citations per faculty member, number of international students and faculty, and student-faculty ratio.

it should be expected since the philippines claimed to be the leading english speaking nation in the far east, but then again why so many english programs and movies are translated into tagalog in may local channels . philippine universities are bested by those in hongkong peking tokyo kyoto and singapore
