Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte punches sheriff Abe Andres






Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio beats up a sheriff from Davao during a demolition’s row in one of the community in the local area where the residents had resisted the demolition team. The daughter of former Mayor and current vice-mayor Rodrigo Duterte lost her temper and punched the sheriff in front of many witnesses.


The mayor said that she asked Andres to wait for 2 hours before proceeding with the demolition because she was still in a relief operation but the latter still ignored the order. When Duterted arrived on the scene, she was caught on camera gesturing to Andres to come closer before punching him repeatedly on the face. He suffered contusions above his eye and will consult with the Sheriffs Confederation of the Philippines before taking any action.

being part of the higher echelon does not give anyone the right to step on someone’s dignity through public embarrassment..

if duterte cannot respect her fellow human being, she then doesn’t deserve a tiny amount of respect ..

no matter what her intention was, good or evil, for doing so, violence cannot be a perfect substitute to diplomacy..it’s true that this country needs tough leaders to go through “tuwid na landas”..but we don”t need abusive leaders of these kinds..

duterte deserves to be charged before the proper authority, the DILG, of “conduct unbecoming of public officials”..

to some, what she did seemed funny and impressive.. but to a civilized nation, it is “barbaric”..
