August 20, 21 and 27, 2012 Non Working Holiday in the Philippines






Is August 20, 21 and 27 a holiday in the Philippines? Many of us are asking if that date are holiday.

The answer is YES!, August 20, 2012 is a non working holiday to mark the end of the islamic month of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast during the hours of daylight. Another date is August 21, 2012, it is also a non working holiday to commemorate the anniversary of the 1983 assassination of the former Senetor Benigno "NINOY" Aquino, Jr. And finally August 27 is the marking of the 1896 Cry of the Pugad ng Lawin by the katipunan led by Andres Bonifacio which began the Philippine Revolution.
