How to Create a Nice Facebook Badge

What is facebok badge? Well Facebook badges link people to your profile or page from other places on the Internet. When your badge appears on another website and someone clicks on it, he lands right at your Facebook profile or page. While Facebook will create a default badge for you, you can personalize badges by editing exactly what information is displayed. Create more than one badge for use around the Web, including badges that only include images or show off your favorite interest on the site.

Instructions

1. Log in to your personal Facebook page. Click on the "Profile" link at the top of the page. Scroll down to the very bottom of your friend list, which runs vertically on the left side of the page.

2. Click the "Add a Badge to Your Site" link.

3. Click the "Badges Home" tab to view all badge options at the same time. Click on "Profile Badge" to create a badge that will link to your personal profile. If you're the administrator on a business page, click "Page Badge" to promote your page around the Web. All users may also choose "Photo Badge" or "Like Badge" to make a badge that displays their images or favorite Facebook pages.

4. Edit the information on a profile badge by clicking on the "Edit this badge" link. Click either a vertical or horizontal layout and then check the box next to each piece of information you want to be included on the badge. Click "Save" when the badge is complete. If you're making a "Like" badge, click the page you want to present on the badge from the drop-down menu. Click up to eight images for your photo badge using the tool on the "Photo Badge" page.

5. Copy the embed code on the badge page and then paste it into your website. Add a profile badge to Blogger or TypePad using the icons next to the preview of your profile badge.
