Twister ( Tornado ) Hits Q.C. with video

Aside from Typhoon Falcon, A tornado hit some parts of Quezon City. At least 40 families were displaced when a tornado swept through 7 villages in Quezon City Friday noon. According to DZMM’s Dennis Datu the tornado damaged more than 30 houses in the villages of Mariana, Kalusugan, Immaculate Concepcion, Paligsahan, Pinagkaisahan, Kamuning and West Kamias.

According to ABS-CBN, The tornado lasted more than a minute and peeled the roofs off of houses. It also toppled several trees and electric posts. Hardest hit was the Immaculate Concepcion village where 16 families were forced to leave their homes. Twelve of these families came from Ilang-Ilang Street while 4 were from Hillcrest Street.

A 36-year-old woman identified as Olive Marvia of Ilang-Ilang Street was also reported injured. "Ang kwento niya ay nasa sulok sila ng tahanan at noong biglang pagtuklap ng bubong tahanan ay nabagsakan siya ng bisikleta sa ulo," reported Datu. Local officials have already started conducting clean up operations after the incident.
