Typhoon ( Bagyong ) "Pedring" Update September 28, 2011






According to the Philippines weather bureau PAGASA as of 4:00 pm today, September 28, 2011, Typhoon "PEDRING" continues to move away from the country and is now out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). The eye of Typhoon "PEDRING" was located based on radar, satellite and surface data at 520 km West Northwest of Baguio City (17.5°N, 115.3°E) with maximum winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 19 kph.

Public Storm Warning Signals elsewhere are now lowered.

Typhoon Pedring will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon and will bring scattered to widespread rains over the rest of Western Luzon.

With this development, this is the final bulletin on this weather disturbance.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm (NALGAE) was estimated 1,330 km East of Northern Luzon (19.1°N, 136.6°E) and is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Resposibility (PAR) within the next 24 hours.
